How to have an enjoyable Christmas alone this year – blogmas day 18
Many of us will be spending Christmas alone this year which can be hard but that doesn’t mean we can’t make it just as enjoyable. 🙂 So, instead of thinking about all things that can’t happen let’s shift our minds to the things can happen! Like all the cooking and baking! All those magical Christmas movies, you can still send presents, and all the ways you can have fun while staying safe.
So, if you’re feeling blue about spending Christmas alone then keep reading cause I’m going to share some helpful tips that will surely turn that frown upside down! 🙂

Bake & cook all your favorites
One of the best ways to make yourself feel better is to bake and/or cook all your favorite foods. Fill your fridge with tons of sweet treats – apple pie, cinnamon rolls, chocolate chip cookies…..
Decorate
No matter the circumstances this year everyone should have some sort of Holiday decorations up which will most definitely help to boost your mood. Buy a tree- real or fake, stop by Home Goods, throw up some garland…
Treat yourself
Buy yourself something nice this year as a gift. Something you’ve been wanting for awhile now, treat yourself to it cause you deserve it. It’s been a hard year for everyone.
Watch your favorite movies
The tv channels are now filled with tons of Christmas movies that are the perfect way to end the night snuggled up by the fire with a blanket and a cup of cocoa. Check out my list of my favorite Christmas movies here!
Get a pet
Pets will become your best friend so it won’t matter that you’re spending time alone cause you’ll have a furry friend to accompany you.
Zoom with friends and family
In person gatherings may have a pause on them for the time being but virtual ones are a go! Zoom or Skype with friends and family, catch up, you can even open the presents you sent to each other, just via zoom!
Order in
If you don’t feel like cooking then don’t, order in instead! Many places will be open in anticipation of this.
Pamper yourself
Do something nice for yourself – get your nails done, your hair done, buy a cute outfit, take pictures, have a spa day…. whatever makes you feel good.
Happy Holidays everyone!
