The One Where We all had a Quarantine Christmas – blogmas day 16
Merry COVID-Christmas!
This Christmas season is going to be unlike any other we’ve had. There will be no big parties and even most festivals, although outside, have been canceled. So we need to bite the bullet this 2020 and just accept that most of the traditions we partake in, will not happen. But, there are still a number of ways you can enjoy the most wonderful time of the year, all while staying safe!
See if in your local area there are any tree lighting’s. You can still attend these since they are outside (if your town allows attendance). As long as you wear your mask and social distance then you should be good!
Drive around and see the Christmas lights. All around my neighborhood and in neighboring towns, there are tons of lights set up! Driving around to see them is so much fun and safe! For instance, in Pawling NY there are a number of houses that are famously known for their lights display and even have shows where cars can drive around their property to see them!
Watch Mass online. Just because you aren’t able to make it into church doesn’t mean you still can’t celebrate this Holy day. There are dozens are tv programs which offer free mass service from the safety of your own home.
Zoom reunions! Although in-peron gatherings have a hold on them for the moment virtual ones are 100% safe and free! Have a reunion via zoom and catch up with friends, chat, play games, cook……
Watch your favorite Christmas movies to get into the Holiday spirit or to combat those COVID Christmas blues.
Just because this Christmas is going to be different doesn’t mean it can’t be just as fun! Happy Holidays everyone! 🙂
