Which Gluten-free Flour is the BEST for Baking?
Baking gluten-free used to be a challenge but with all the new advancements made in the gluten-free flour industry, omitting gluten from our bakes is now easier then ever! However, now we are faced with a new problem, which flour to choose. There are so many!
During my trips to the grocery store I pass by at least 5 different brands of gluten-free flour so choosing one to use in your baking, especially if you’re new to the gluten-free diet, can be difficult. But I’ve done the heavy lifting for you and have compiled a list of the BEST and BRIGHTEST of the gluten-free flour brands! And which one is the WINNER? This was a hard one because I wanted to choose one that not only is the best 1 to 1 in baking (1 cup GF flour for 1 cup regular flour) but also a brand that mostly all store’s carry.
Here are my findings!
#5: Bob’s Red Mill Gluten-free All Purpose Baking Flour
Not a fan of this flour but I love the brand. The flour has a weird smell and gives my baked goods the same weird smell and taste, almost like a musty smell. It’s strange. However great Bob’s Red Mill is, this product of theirs is not recommend, unfortunately.

#4: King Arthur Measure for Measure Gluten-free Flour
I like King Arthur’s products but I’ve always found their flour to be a tad dry in baking and have a funny taste. Not a bad brand by any means just not the best gluten-free flour to use in baking.

#3: Cup 4 Cup Gluten-free Multi-purpose Flour
This brand was very highly recommend and almost everything about it is great except it’s made with milk! I try my best to avoid dairy so for me I won’t use this flour again. But I did test it out and it worked fine in my recipes. If you’re pressed and looking for flour and your store only carries this brand and you have no issues with dairy then give this a buy! You won’t have any issues in your baking.

#2: Pillsbury Multi-purpose Gluten-free Flour Blend
Love Love Love this brand but the only issue is it’s impossible to find! Unless you shop at Walmart, you will most likely have no luck finding it, which stinks! But, if you can get your hands on it then it will work perfectly in all you bakes.

#1: Bob’s Red Mill Gluten Free 1 to 1 Baking Flour
This is the BEST Gluten-free baking flour I have found! Their regular gluten-free flour (#5 on my list) is a big NO for me but this one, in the blue package is a 10/10! I NEVER have any trouble replacing for 1 to 1 in my bakes. My dough always rises when making my gluten-free cinnamon rolls and my cookies never have any trouble setting in the oven. This flour has no weird smell and the feel of it is just like regular flour, soft! I have visited numerous grocery stores and this brand flour was at every one so I don’t think you will have any trouble finding it.
