My favorite Gluten Free Trader Joes Foods
It’s no surprise that Trader Joes is one of my favorite places to food shop. With the huge and ever growing selection of gluten free foods they sell, I always make it a priority to stop here a minimum of once a week to try something new! And you’re in luck cause for the past few weeks I’ve been buying and testing tons of delicious gluten-free goodies from the one the only Trader Joes and have compiled a list of yummy treats which you NEED to pick up on your next go around.
These posts are so much fun to write so I’m thinking of making them a monthly or bi monthly thing! I am constantly trying new gluten-free foods so I’ll always have a nice hefty list! If this is something you’d like me to continue with them let me know in the comments! 🙂
Not everyone one of these foods was a winner in my book, and I did note this in my comments, but I felt they still needed a place on my list because others may be interested in trying them and honestly, how bad were they really! So the taste wasn’t 100%, just the fact that companies are coming out with gluten free, vegan, healthy ice cream in the first place deserves a pat on the back!
All of these items are gluten free and some may also be vegan and/or dairy free.
Gluten free Cinnamon Coffee Cake Muffins – 10/10

These muffins are hands down one of the best things I’ve picked up at Trader Joes to date. They are soft, fluffy and the cinnamon and brown sugar bits baked into the muffin are soooo good! Out of everything on this list these are my favorites!
Would I buy again? YES! yes! A thousand times yes! (What flick is this line from? If you get it right comment below and I’ll shout your blog out in my next post!)
Gluten free Crispy Crunchy Ginger Chunk Cookies – 8/10

These taste just like the Tate’s version, I mean seriously the taste is spot on. I knocked off a point because I am not a huge fan of candied ginger. When you bite into these cookies the cookie base is delicious but then you’re hit in the mouth with a big hunk of candied ginger which wasn’t my favorite. Now I know what you’re thinking, uhhh Theresa… it’s in the title. Yes I know but compared to the Tates version these cookies had bigger and stronger in flavor ginger flavor candies.
Would I buy again? Probably not. I prefer the chocolate chip version (Tate’s).
Gluten free Unsweetened Instant Oatmeal – 9/10

If you’re looking for a simple low calorie oatmeal that takes 1 minute to prepare, then this is for you!
However great this oatmeal is beware that unsweetened is unsweetened! I can’t eat this without some sort of sweetener or fruit because it’s just not a pleasant taste to me. But with sweetener/fruit it’s my favorite breakfast to make! Quick and easy!
Would I buy again? Yes!
Gluten free Chocolate Chip Brownie Mix – 10/10

These turned out absolutely fabulous! We even made them dairy free so I was able to safely eat a slice after each meal! Haha!
For a boxed brownie mix this deserves ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars. Definitely pick this up in your next go around! I will buy this again tomorrow!!
Triple Ginger Brew Ginger Ale (with a kick) – 10/10

Just like ginger ale but better. Why? Cause of the kick! Wheewww! This drink definitely had a kick to it but that’s what makes it sooo good! We picked this up during the Holidays but I’m pretty sure they carry it all year around.
Gluten free Cauliflower Gnocchi – 10/10 (no picture)
A year ago when I first tried it I was not a fan! I think I even wrote a blog post on how much I disliked it! Fast forward a year and now it’s my favorite thing! What changed? I really don’t know.
If you like gnocchi then you will like this. As long as you follow the directions then it comes out nice and crispy and is great with a little sauce and veggies. Hint: recipes coming soon to my blog using this pasta! Be careful though cause if you don’t cook it correctly it will be soggy and chewy and 10 shades of wrong! Trust me, I found out the hard way.
Will I buy this again? Yes!
Non-Dairy Vegan Oat Milk Strawberry Yogurt (not labeled gluten free but does not contain any gluten ingredients as shown on the label) – 6/10

I was not a fan of this at all but I still wanted to share it cause I’m sure many people do like it. For me though I couldn’t taste any of the strawberry flavor despite it being STRAWBERRY ice cream and the taste I did find was not too pleasant. It wasn’t awful but it was just very bland and not fruity at all.
Will I buy again? No
Gluten free Whole Grain Bread (dairy-free as well) – 9/10

Normally I buy my gluten free bread at a different grocery store but last shopping trip my dad pointed this out to me so of course I had to buy! Safe to say I won’t be going back to the other brand!
This bread is light and fluffy and has a delicious taste. I did take off a point because of how ridiculously small the slices are but other than that the calories are great and it’s half the price compared to my previous bread!
Will I buy again? Duhhh!!!
Almond Flour Gluten-free & Vegan Chocolate Chip Baking Mix – 8/10

These were a lot of fun to make, quick and easy! The taste of them was fabulous as well, they just turned out a bit dry. I think that was due in part to an error I made but nonetheless I did want to report it on this post.
One of my favorite things about these cookies was that not only are they gluten free but also vegan! I was so impressed with Trader Joe’s for this.
Will I buy again? They’re already on the list!
Which one of these will you be buying on your next shopping trip at Trader Joes?!

Reasons why Trader Joe’s is so dangerous for me! I’ve recently developed a gluten intolerance so I’ve been researching where I can buy some snacks and cooking substitutes…this list will be a nice guide especially when I’m craving my coffee cake flavors! Thanks so much for sharing!!

I was momentarily so excited for the ice cream, because I feel that oat milk is still underrepresented, but for several reasons it is one of the only non-dairy milk alternatives that I can drink. . . but then I saw it had nuts. . . and then I read your review. . . oh well, lol.

Aww I’m sorry. Oat milk is also the non dairy-free beverage I can drink too so I was super excited to try this but it was a no for me. But there are so many other vegan frozen desserts they sell, such as their mango sorbet and sorbet ice pops that you will love!

I do miss Trader Joes 😞 don’t have anywhere as great in the UK. Very envious of those brownies and cookie kits, been trying a few of those over here recently, sounds like they turned out great!

That stinks! Wish there was some way you could them shipped to you, but absence makes the heart grow fonder so the next time you can get over the to U.S will be great!!! And then you can stock up and bring lots home with you! 🙂

That’s the goal. Have started doing some GF baking with what’s available over here but ambition is to pick up some of the treats from the US when I’m over next 😊

Yum! I finally live near a Trader Joe’s and now I definitely need to check it out. I thought I’d never get to eat store-bought muffins again after going gluten-free.
