The best gluten free & dairy free sausage stuffing {Vegan options}
You can’t have Thanksgiving without stuffing so I am happy to announce that the most requested dish that I make is finally here! After weeks of you guys asking I am finally ready to share this gluten free & dairy free stuffing recipe that’s coming just in time for Thanksgiving.
This Holiday season you better be saving a seat at the table for this stuffing! Not only is it gluten and dairy free but it can also be made vegan for all you meatless folks out there! Plus it’s super easy to make, requiring only a handful of ingredients.
To make this recipe vegan all you need to do is replace the sausage with a vegan version in equal amounts and follow the rest of the recipe through. It’s that easy. 🙂 If you have any other substitution questions then leave a comment below.

Ingredients
- 1 pack of sweet sausage – 4 small links – use vegan sausage as a replacement
- 1 white onion – chopped
- 2 green apples – peeled & chopped
- 1 box of Ians Stuffing – gluten-free savory homestyle stuffing
- 1 cup dried cranberries (optional)
- 1 tbsp oregano
- 1 tbsp dried parsley
- 1 tbsp rosemary
- olive oil

Directions
- Preheat oven to 375 F and grease a baking dish with cooking spray
- In a skillet add sausage (out of casing) and cook with olive oil
- While sausage is cooking cut up onion and green apples (peel and chop)
- Take cooked sausage, transfer to a bowl and cook onion in same pan until caramelized. Add onion and apples to sausage bowl, add spices and mix.
- Then take your stuffing mix, add water and let sit until bread is soft. Drain water and add in fixings, stir, transfer to greased baking dish, cover and bake for 30 minutes with tinfoil on top and 10 minutes without (to crisp up the top).
- Enjoy 🙂
- Serve with cranberry sauce, gravy and/or potatoes.
