Easy gluten-free & dairy-free garlic bread
Garlic bread has always been a side dish that I love. Something about the combination of garlic and butter makes it so delicious. For years I’ve been buying Gillians All-natural gluten-free, wheat-free & soy-free garlic bread but I wanted to try my hand at making my own. So I found this delicious recipe to try and once I figured out the correct proportions I decided to create my own.
The secret to the awesomeness
This gluten-free garlic bread uses my favorite gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free bread from Udi’s and my #1 go-to vegan butter. The secret to this recipe is the use of these Udi’s gluten-free hot dog buns because compared to a baguette, hot dog buns are much softer and doughier so your bread will not be as dry once baked. You can use a baguette but you’ll be missing out on how much better it tastes! Not only does it change the texture but hotdog buns are the perfect 1 serving for our meals. You won’t need to worry about buying a whole baguette only to eat 1/4 of it.
Do I need to make this gluten-free?
Since I am gluten-free everything I make is free from gluten but if you’re not then you can use whatever bread you prefer. It can be gluten-free, vegan, paleo, or full of flour! As long as they sell it in hot-dog form then you are good to go!
If you’re not gluten-free then I would highly suggest trying out this recipe with Martin’s long potato rolls. My dad tried this recipe with them and almost fell on the floor because of how delicious it was! He said it gave them a delicious taste because Martins potato rolls are so soft and doughy so when you add butter to them they become even more amazing!
Make this recipe with a delicious bowl of gluten-free pasta or these delicious paleo whole 30 meatballs.

Servings: 4 rolls
Ingredients
- 1 pack of Udis gluten-free hot dog buns. You’re going to use 4 hotdog buns from the pack
- 1/2 cup earth balance vegan butter – softened
- 3 cloves of minced garlic = 1 tbsp
- 1 tbsp oregano
- 1 tbsp basil (optional)
- 1/4 tsp salt

Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 F
- Separate your 4 hot dog buns and lay them next to each other on a baking sheet.
- Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl until butter can be brushed onto bread.
- Brush on bread making sure to cover the whole top and a little on the edges.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned. If you prefer your bread less cooked and more doughy then bake for only 5 minutes.
- ENJOY 🙂

I can’t wait to try this, I love garlic knots and garlic bread.
Using hotdog rolls sounds like a great idea,
I love when the bread is doughy!
