Homemade oven baked sweet potato fries

  • Baking pan


  • 3 large sweet potatoes - peeled and sliced into 1/2 cm slices or less
  • Chili powder
  • Garlic powder
  • 2 pinches of salt
  • 4 pinches of pepper
  • 3 tbsp olive oil


  • Preheat oven to 425 F
  • Peel sweet potatoes then slice into less than 1/2 cm pieces. You can make then thicker for more of a soft chip or thinner for a crispier chip.
  • Lay on a baking tray, making sure to not overlap. I normally use 2 trays.
  • Sprinkle olive oil over all the potatoes. Generously sprinkle the chili powder and garlic powder on both sides depending on how much you prefer, I use around 3 tbsp of both. Then add pinches of salt and pinches of pepper.
  • Take your sweet potatoes and massage all the spices and oils into both sides -necessary to make sure each slice is coated.
  • Bake for 10-15 minutes, depends on thickness.
  • Remove from oven and eat immediately. ENJOY :)
