DIY Valentine’s day decor & gifts

February 4, 2020

Love is in the air! Can you feel it? With Valentine’s day only 2 days away you may be feeling the pressure of not knowing what to gift your special someone. Picking out the perfect gift can be difficult, especially if you want to give something that’s amazing but cannot afford to spend $100 + dollars.

For many years now on Valentine’s Day, Birthday’s, Christmas’s, and other Holidays, I’ve opted for making gifts. Thankfully I was blessed with the creative gene so for me I love sitting down in my craft room to make gifts. But, this may not be the case for everyone. So, even if you’re not the most artistic person, there’s no need to worry because these DIY’s are for all levels of ability.

No matter if you can sculpt the Eiffel tower or struggle cutting out a paper heart, you are sure to find handmade gifts that you will enjoy making and that your loved one will cherish forever, or at least get a good laugh out of. 🙂

Frugal living gift ideas:

  1. My Etsy sells affordable one of a kind gifts that are perfect for your loved one. They are all handmade by me and if requested can be wrapped and packaged ready for your Valentine.
  2. Shopping at antique stores can also be a home-run in the gift department because you never know what you are going to find there. You may find a beautiful painting, door handles, or collectibles that your Valentine will love.
  3. The same goes for vintage clothing stores. Some place may be expensive but most of them are fairly reasonable. And the best part is that they sell unique vintage clothing items that are the way to your special someone’s heart.
